Frequently asked questions

  • Q. What Is the Minimum Age to Rent a Car in Kuala Lumpur?

21 for most of our luxury car rental fleet in Kuala Lumpur. High-end, performance, and supercars require you to be at least 25. If you're between 21 and 25 and want a car in that higher category, message us and we'll confirm what's possible.

  • Q. What Documents Do I Need to Rent a Car in Malaysia?

A valid driving licence, your passport or MyKad, and a credit card for the refundable security deposit. Malaysian residents use their Malaysian licence. Tourists use their home-country licence, usually alongside an International Driving Permit.

  • Q. Can Tourists Rent a Car in Malaysia?

Yes. Tourists are welcome across our luxury car rental fleet in Malaysia. You'll need your passport, your home-country driving licence, and in most cases an International Driving Permit. Message us with your nationality and we'll confirm exactly what's needed before you book.

  • Q. Do I Need an International Driving Permit (IDP) in Malaysia?

In most cases, yes, if you're a tourist. Visitors from some countries can drive here on their home licence alone for a limited period, but an International Driving Permit makes things simpler and avoids any back-and-forth at handover. Tell us where you're from and we'll confirm.

  • Q. Can I Rent a Car in Malaysia With a Foreign Driving Licence?

Yes. A valid foreign driving licence is accepted alongside an International Driving Permit for most nationalities. If your licence isn't in English, the IDP becomes essential rather than optional.

  • Q. How Much Is the Security Deposit for a Car Rental in KL?

It depends on the car. Our car rental deposit in KL typically ranges from around RM1,000 on regular fleet up to RM5,000 or more on supercars. It's a refundable hold, not a charge, and we'll confirm the exact amount before you book.

  • Q. When Is My Car Rental Deposit Refunded?

Once the car is returned and checked for damage, fines, or outstanding tolls. Your car rental deposit is usually released within a few business days, though the exact timing can depend on your bank.

  • Q. What Payment Methods Do You Accept for Car Rental in KL?

We accept major debit and credit cards. A credit card is required to hold the refundable security deposit, since that hold needs available credit rather than cash sitting frozen on a debit card.

  • Q. Do I Need a Credit Card, or Can I Use a Debit Card?

A credit card is required for the security deposit. The rental fee itself can usually be settled by debit or credit card, but the deposit specifically needs to sit on a credit card in the main driver's name.

  • Q. Does the Rental Include Insurance?

Yes. Comprehensive car rental insurance is included on every rental as standard, for the full length of your booking. It's never an upsell added at handover.

  • Q. What Happens if the Car Is Damaged During My Rental?

Insurance covers most incidents, but you're responsible for the excess (deductible) in an at-fault accident. This is confirmed clearly before you book, so there are no surprises if something happens.

  • Q. Am I Responsible for Traffic Fines or Tolls in Malaysia?

Yes. Any Touch 'n Go tolls, summonses, or traffic fines issued during your rental are billed to you at cost once they come through, even if that's after you've returned the car.

  • Q. How Do I Book a Luxury Car Rental in KL?

Send us your pickup date, return date, and delivery address on WhatsApp. We'll confirm availability, the daily rate, and the deposit in one reply, then arrange delivery once everything's agreed.

  • Q. How Far in Advance Should I Book a Car Rental in KL?

The sooner the better for weekends and popular cars, since our fleet books out fast. For supercars, or during wedding season and public holidays, we'd suggest booking several weeks ahead where possible.

  • Q. Can I Cancel or Change My Car Rental Booking?

Yes. Plans change, and we don't charge a fee for adjusting or cancelling your dates. Just let us know as early as you can so we can free up the car for someone else.

  • Q. Is There a Minimum Rental Period?

Most bookings start from a single day. Longer hires, whether a few days, a week, or a month, bring the average daily rate down.

  • Q. Can I Rent a Car for a Week or a Month in KL?

Yes. Weekly and monthly car rental in KL is available across the fleet, and the daily rate improves the longer you rent. Message us with your dates and we'll work out a rate for the full period.

  • Q. Do You Offer Free Car Delivery in Kuala Lumpur?

Yes, free of charge. We deliver across Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and greater Selangor, including areas like Mont Kiara, Bangsar, and Ampang Jaya.

  • Q. Which Areas in KL and Selangor Do You Cover?

Kuala Lumpur city centre, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Mont Kiara, Bangsar, Ampang Jaya, and most of greater Selangor. If you're just outside this list, message us anyway, most nearby addresses can still be arranged.

  • Q. Do You Offer Airport Transfer in KL?

Yes. Free delivery and collection covers KLIA and klia2, so airport transfer in KL is one of the more common reasons people book with us.

  • Q. Can I Drive the Rental Car to Other States in Malaysia?

Yes. Trips to places like Penang, Johor Bahru, Melaka, or Genting Highlands are permitted. Let us know in advance so it's noted on the rental agreement and your insurance covers the trip properly.

  • Q. Is There a Mileage Limit on Car Rentals in KL?

Each rental includes a daily mileage allowance appropriate to the car. If you need more, additional kilometres are charged at a per-km rate disclosed upfront before you book, and unlimited-mileage terms are available on longer hires.

  • Q. Can I Add a Second Driver to My Car Rental?

Yes. A second driver can be added to your booking, subject to the same age and licence requirements as the main driver.

  • Q. Can I Rent a Self-Drive Car in Malaysia?

Yes, and it's how most of our bookings work. You collect the car, drive it yourself for the length of the rental, and we handle delivery and collection around your schedule.

  • Q. Do You Offer a Chauffeur Service in KL?

Yes. A chauffeur service can be arranged separately for weddings, corporate events, or VIP airport transfers, if you'd rather be driven than drive yourself.

  • Q. What Happens if I Return the Car Late?

Let us know as soon as you know you'll be late. Depending on how long and which car, a late car return may be charged at a pro-rated daily rate, so it's always better to flag it early than surprise us at drop-off.

  • Q. What Luxury and Supercar Rental Options Do You Have in KL?

A wide range, from executive sedans and luxury SUVs to genuine supercars like the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and Porsche 911 Carrera S. Browse the full fleet on our website or message us if you're after something specific.

  • Q. How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Luxury Car in KL?

It depends entirely on the car. Our luxury car rental range in KL starts from around RM990 a day for an executive sedan and goes up to RM4,500 a day for our top supercars. Send us your dates and we'll confirm an exact rate.

  • Q. Can I Rent a Car for a Wedding in Malaysia?

Yes. Wedding car rental convoys, corporate roadshows, and VIP guest transport are some of our most common bookings. Popular cars for these occasions get booked out weeks in advance, especially during wedding season.

  • Q. Is Fuel Included in the Car Rental Price?

The car is delivered to you with a full tank. You're expected to return it with roughly the same level, similar to any other car rental in Malaysia.
