These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental of vehicles and related services (“Services”) provided by Legendary Capital Sdn Bhd, operating as Luxury Car Rental KL, Malaysia (“we,” “us,” or “our”), through the website luxurycarrental.my (the “Website”) and directly with customers (“you,” “your,” or the “Renter”).
By booking a vehicle, using the Website, or engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with a booking.
To rent a vehicle from us, you must meet the following requirements:
Malaysian residents may use their Malaysian driving licence. Tourists and foreign visitors must present their home-country driving licence, and in most cases, a valid International Driving Permit (IDP). If your driving licence is not in English, an IDP is required rather than optional.
A second driver may be added to a booking, subject to meeting the same age and licence requirements as the main driver.
Bookings are made by providing your pickup date, return date, delivery address, and preferred vehicle, typically through WhatsApp or the Contact page on our Website.
A booking is confirmed once we have verified vehicle availability and you have agreed to the daily rate and security deposit amount for your selected vehicle.
Most bookings start from a single day. Longer rentals, whether for several days, a week, or a month, are available and generally reduce the average daily rate.
Rental rates vary depending on the vehicle category, rental duration, and any additional services requested. Rates for our fleet generally range from around RM990 a day for an executive sedan up to RM4,500 a day for our top supercars, though exact pricing is confirmed at the time of booking.
We accept major debit and credit cards for rental payments. A credit card, specifically, is required to place the refundable security deposit hold, since this requires available credit rather than funds withdrawn from a debit account.
A refundable security deposit is required for every booking. The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category, and typically ranges from around RM1,000 on our regular fleet to RM5,000 or more on supercars. The exact amount will be confirmed with you before your booking is finalized.
The security deposit is a hold against your credit card, not a charge. It is released after the vehicle is returned and inspected for damage, outstanding fines, or unpaid tolls. Deposit releases are typically processed within a few business days of vehicle return, though the exact timing may depend on your card issuer or bank.
We reserve the right to deduct from the security deposit any amounts owed for damage, excess fuel required, unpaid tolls, traffic fines, late return charges, or other costs arising from a breach of these Terms.
We offer free vehicle delivery and collection within Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and greater Selangor, including areas such as Mont Kiara, Bangsar, Ampang Jaya, Subang Jaya, and Shah Alam.
If your delivery address falls outside our standard coverage area, please contact us in advance. Delivery to nearby addresses can often still be arranged.
Airport delivery and collection, including at KLIA and klia2, is available and should be arranged in advance with your flight details.
Comprehensive car rental insurance is included as standard on every rental for the full length of your booking. This is not an optional add-on and is never charged separately at handover.
In the event of an at-fault accident or damage to the vehicle during your rental period, insurance covers most incidents, but you remain responsible for the applicable excess (deductible). The excess amount applicable to your vehicle will be confirmed clearly before you book, so there are no surprises if an incident occurs.
You must report any accident, damage, theft, or mechanical issue to us as soon as reasonably possible during your rental period.
Vehicles are delivered to you with a full tank of fuel. You are expected to return the vehicle with a similar fuel level. If the vehicle is returned with significantly less fuel than provided, the cost of refueling, along with a reasonable service charge, may be deducted from your security deposit.
Each rental includes a daily mileage allowance appropriate to the vehicle category. If you require additional mileage, extra kilometres are charged at a per-kilometre rate disclosed to you before booking.
Unlimited mileage terms are available on longer rentals. Please confirm mileage terms for your specific booking in advance if high mileage is expected.
The vehicle must only be driven by the main driver named on the rental agreement, or an approved second driver who meets our eligibility requirements.
Driving the rental vehicle to other Malaysian states, including destinations such as Penang, Johor Bahru, Melaka, or Genting Highlands, is permitted. You must inform us in advance of any such travel so it can be noted on the rental agreement and confirmed as covered under the vehicle’s insurance.
The vehicle may not be used for any illegal purpose, for racing or competitive driving, for towing, for carrying passengers or goods for hire without our written consent, or in any manner that breaches Malaysian traffic law.
Subletting, re-renting, or otherwise transferring possession of the vehicle to any third party without our written consent is strictly prohibited.
You are responsible for all traffic fines, summonses, and Touch ‘n Go or other toll charges incurred during your rental period. These amounts will be billed to you at cost as they are received, even if this occurs after the vehicle has been returned.
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please notify us as early as possible so the vehicle can be made available to other renters. Cancellation terms, including any applicable fees for late cancellation of high-demand or supercar bookings, will be confirmed with you at the time of booking.
Rentals are available on a self-drive basis, where you collect the vehicle and drive it yourself for the length of the rental, or with a professional chauffeur, depending on the service you book.
For chauffeur-driven bookings, the chauffeur is responsible for operating the vehicle safely and professionally. Renters booking a chauffeur service are expected to treat our chauffeurs with the same courtesy and respect owed to any service professional.
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date, time, and location in the same condition it was provided, subject to normal wear and tear.
Late returns without prior arrangement may result in additional daily charges at the applicable rental rate, in addition to any other costs described in these Terms.
Wedding convoys, corporate roadshows, VIP guest transport, and event or content creation bookings are among our regular services. Popular vehicles for these occasions, particularly during wedding season, are often booked several weeks in advance, and early booking is recommended to secure your preferred vehicle.
To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of a rented vehicle, delays in delivery or collection caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or loss of personal belongings left in a vehicle.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Malaysian law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
